The Protective Effect of Masks on Women and Asians in COVID-19 Is Much Worse
Does face shape affect the protective effect of
mask? Russian media: The
protective effect of masks on women and Asians is much worse.
Sputnik quoted the French Morning Post on the 17th as saying that the
protective effect of masks on women and Asians against CoV-19 is much worse.
Australian university professor Brita Enqin concluded in his research that the effectiveness of
medical masks depends on the face shape. When the mask is tightly attached to the face, the protection is reliable, and its filtering ability occupies a secondary position. Medical masks are effective for 95% of men, but only for 85% of women. In addition, masks are very suitable for 90% Caucasians and 84% Asians, but the adaptation level for Asian women is even lower, only 60%.
